The first module of the training series “University of the Future: Secrets of Successful Management in Education” was held at Carpathian University.
The program is based on the example of the Academic Managers Professional Development Program – a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the World Bank, and the British Council, within which leading Ukrainian managers and experts in the field of higher education act as speakers and trainers.
The first module, dedicated to the topic “University and Social Transformations”, brought together 86 participants – teachers and students, who worked in five teams. Representatives of most faculties and departments of the university joined the training.
The analytical part was conducted by Valentyna Yakubiv, outlining the modern role of the university in social processes and key challenges for the educational environment.
In the practical part, we worked together on tasks that helped rethink the potential of the units and find points of interaction with the communities. Among the tasks were “Unit DNA” (identity and values), VRIO analysis (assessment of strategic resources), “We + Community = Idea” (search for joint initiatives).
Moderation and facilitation of teamwork were carried out by Iryna Pyatnychuk, Vitaliy Shkromyda, Tetyana Kornienko, Natalia Belova, Tetyana Hrynyshak, and Ihor Hurak.
Ahead are the next modules dedicated to strategy, personnel management, and finance in education.
