As part of the Science Days, the university hosted an international video bridge between Ukraine and Denmark on the topic: “The Familiar and the Unfamiliar Andersen”, organized by the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literature of the Faculty of Philology.
The scientific dialogue was attended by Torsten Thomsen (Denmark) — PhD, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Culture and Language of the University of Southern Denmark, Director of the Hans Christian Andersen Center; Mushtaq Bilal (Pakistan, India) — PhD, doctoral student at the Faculty of Culture and Language of the University of Southern Denmark; Inga Kapustian — Candidate of Sciences, doctoral student at the Faculty of Culture and Language of the University of Southern Denmark.
The Ukrainian side was represented by teachers from the Faculty of Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk PNU: Olga Derkachova — Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature; Ivanna Devdyuk — Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literary Studies; Danylo Reha — Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literary Studies; Alla Martynets — Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Literary Studies.
The first vice-rector of the university, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Valentyna Yakubiv, addressed all those present with a welcoming speech. Exchanging scientific messages, the guests and hosts engaged in interesting discussions that continued after the event.

Ivanna Devdyuk — “The Creativity of H. H. Andersen in the System of Existential Coordinates.”
Alla Martynets – project “Andersen unites hearts”.
The work of H. H. Andersen, its entry into the cultural layers of Europe and Asia, translation problems, Christian accents, and didactic opportunities in getting to know the writer’s personality and studying the works of European romanticism – these are the questions that formed the basis of the conversation and allowed us to look at the author’s figure from a new angle. At the end of the meeting, prospects for further joint work were outlined.
