PNU introduced members of the new Supervisory Board

Today, at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykhailo Vynnytskyi introduced to the management and staff the members of the Supervisory Board of the PNU elected by the international Committee as part of the government experiment. These are Vitaliy Myronyuk, Mykola Paliychuk, Dmytro Romanyuk, Yana Stadilna, Taras Finikov, Roman Sheremet, and Tetyana Shippi.

The event was held in a mixed format.

Acting Rector Igor Tsependa congratulated the newly elected Supervisory Board.

He emphasized that this is not just a meeting, but the beginning of a new stage in the life of the Precarpathian University: “We have become part of an experiment that includes three universities, including ours. Today is a significant day because we officially represent a team of experts who strive to make our university even better. We are all united by this goal, and I am confident that with joint efforts we will be able to give the university a new dynamic, bring it to an even higher level of development, and effectively implement all planned initiatives.”

Presenting the Supervisory Board, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, in particular, noted: “It is a great honor for me to be at the Precarpathian National University today. This is not just an opportunity to present the Supervisory Board – it is also an opportunity to visit one of the best universities in Ukraine. Without any exaggeration, PNU is a top institution in terms of science, international relations and, very importantly, the Ukrainian spirit.”

He thanked the university for agreeing to participate in the experiment and commended its leadership for facilitating the implementation of this project.

“We are currently working on updating the university management system. What should it look like? It is a balance between the academic community and external influence. We see it as a balance between the Academic Council and the Supervisory Board. This is a process that we will still work out, because it is experimental. Much depends on you how this model will develop. This is not a rigid structure that is established once and for all – we have flexibility and the ability to adjust it, – explained Mykhailo Vynnytskyi. – Today I have the honor to present the Supervisory Board, which was selected through a transparent process. These are not random people – they have clearly defined competencies. Some of them are strategists, some are communicators, others are experts in science, personnel management, etc. We have identified seven key competencies that should be represented in the Supervisory Board, and I am very glad that this selection took place according to these criteria.”

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dmytro Romaniuk, and individual team members addressed the university community with short speeches.

A lively discussion took place at the end. The event participants had the opportunity to ask questions and express their gratitude for the assistance in the development of the university.
