Our students are prizewinners of the XV International Taras Shevchenko Language and Literature Competition

Students of the Faculty of Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, majoring in Philology, Tetyana Torak (2nd year, academic supervisor – Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature Natalia Vivcharyk) and Yulia Manyakina (1st year, academic supervisor – Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature Natalia Maftyn) won prizes at the final stage of the XV International Language and Literary Competition of Schoolchildren and Student Youth named after Taras Shevchenko.

Tetyana Torak won 1st place, and Yulia Manyakina won 3rd place.

Congratulations on your achievement! We wish to develop our educational potential and implement new tasks and goals. The purpose of the competition is to honor the creative heritage of Taras Shevchenko, as well as to stimulate schoolchildren and students to study the Ukrainian language and literature.

The main objectives of the competition are:

— identifying creatively gifted youth and developing their potential;

— educating the younger generation in respect for the language and traditions of their people;

— discovering new talents that will form the future galaxy of artists of the artistic word.

The competition is held annually from October 1 to March 10. For students of vocational education institutions, students and cadets of higher education institutions, the competition is held in three stages: Stage I – at the level of vocational education institutions and higher education institutions in November; Stage II – at the level of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol in December; Stage III – final, at the national level, in February.
