Today, the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University held a day of interviews between members of the Supervisory Board — Chairman Dmytro Romanyuk, Secretary Yana Stadilna, Vitaliy Myronyuk, Mykola Paliychuk, Taras Finikov, Roman Sheremeta, and Tetyana Shippi — and candidates for the position of rector of the KNUVS.
Among the candidates:
Velikochiy Volodymyr Stepanovych — Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism of the Kyiv National University of Interior Affairs.
Zapukhlyak Ruslan Igorovych — Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the KNUVS.
Lapkovsky Eduard Yosypovych — Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the KNUVS.
Valentyna Mykhailivna Yakubiv — Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, First Vice-Rector of the Kyiv National University of Internal Affairs.
The event consisted of several stages: first, each candidate introduced himself, then presented the university’s strategic development plan, and at the end, a question-and-answer session took place.
On September 25 at 4:00 PM, a press conference of the University’s Supervisory Board will be held in auditorium No. 233 of the central building of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, dedicated to the announcement of the results of the vote on the election of the rector.
Carpathian National University is a participant in a pilot project on the development of autonomy of higher education institutions, which is being implemented in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1029 of September 6, 2024.
According to the Procedure for Conducting the Experiment, the competition for the position of rector was conducted by the University’s Supervisory Board in the form of interviews with candidates and subsequent secret voting.
The results of this process and the results of the vote on the election of the new rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University will be announced at the press conference.
